Job Description

A well-established financial services organisation is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team on a contract basis for 12-18 months, covering maternity leave. The role offers hybrid working arrangements from its South Dublin offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of annual audit files and ad hoc financial reports.
• Oversee and manage the day-to-day finance function, including reconciliations, payments, receipts, and query resolution.
• Supervise and develop a small finance team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and review staff payroll for third-party processing.
• Reconcile investment control accounts and ensure proper financial recording.
• Ensure compliance with best accounting practices and company financial policies.

Experience Required

• Qualified ACCA accountant with a minimum of 3+ years post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Proven experience in team leadership and people management.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and management accounting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level or higher).

Desirable Skills

• Experience in pension scheme reporting for investments and management accounts.
• Familiarity with Business Central/Navision software.
