We are currently seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join a large-scale, multi-year transformation programme within a leading financial services organisation.

This strategic initiative is focused on streamlining workflows, enhancing customer engagement processes, and delivering a unified customer view across multiple business units.

The Opportunity

Working as part of an Agile squad and collaborating with a wider Business Analysis community, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering technology-driven business change.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with business stakeholders to understand challenges, pain points and improvement opportunities
  • Analysing existing processes and data flows to support solution design
  • Facilitating workshops to capture “as-is” and define future-state processes
  • Producing key business analysis artefacts including gap analysis, integration documentation and data mapping
  • Writing clear, actionable user stories and technical integration requirements
  • Supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies
  • Working closely with design and development teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and mentoring junior team members where required

You may work across multiple workstreams or epics within a complex programme environment.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst within IT change or transformation environments
  • Strong background in Financial Services, ideally with exposure to Life, Health or Pensions products
  • Experience working within Agile / Scrum delivery frameworks
  • Proven experience in:
  • User story elicitation and documentation
  • Process mapping and optimisation
  • Data analysis, data mapping and data dictionaries
  • System and integration requirements
  • Technical exposure to SQL, PLSQL and reporting tools
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced programme
