My Dublin based client is looking for a Business Analyst to join their team. This is a permanent position within a leading financial services institution, focused on delivering transformative change across mortgage operations and supporting regulatory, operational, and technology-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working on mortgage-related projects and a strong background in business analysis within the financial services sector. Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Lead workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear, concise user stories, use cases, and process models.
  • Work closely with product owners, project managers, developers, and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies for mortgage-related initiatives.
  • Support UAT planning, test case creation, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process maps.
  • Participate in governance forums, project meetings, and ensure timely updates to project stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.

Skills and Experience Required


  • 5+ years of business analysis experience, preferably in a financial services environment.
  • Proven experience in mortgage operations, lending systems, or mortgage regulatory projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage products, lifecycle, servicing, and customer journeys.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and document requirements using various techniques (e.g., workshops, interviews, observation).
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, risk, compliance, and legal.

Educational Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or related field
