Compliance Specialist

My Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for a Compliance Specialist to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will require 2 days onsite per week. The Compliance Specialist will report into the Head of Compliance and will involve supporting the delivery of compliance monitoring and guidance ensuring regulatory adherence across all operational areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits and gap analyses to assess regulatory compliance.
• Identify, monitor, and report on compliance issues, breaches, and errors, supporting remediation activities.
• Analyse customer complaint data and prepare regular reports for management review.
• Manage Data Access Requests and assist with data protection and privacy-related matters.
• Review and maintain internal compliance policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Support the design and delivery of compliance and data protection training programmes.
• Coordinate and support internal and external compliance audits.
• Stay informed of evolving regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the insurance sector.
• Complete assigned compliance activities within agreed timeframes, such as regulatory reports, CPD verifications, and financial sanctions checks.
• Provide practical guidance on regulatory obligations including, but not limited to, CPC, CICA, DMD, IDD, MCC, and GDPR.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

• Hold at least one of the following: CIP or a recognised Data Protection qualification; and have, or be working towards, the Professional Diploma in Compliance.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Compliance, Data Protection, Audit, or related role within the Irish insurance or financial services industry.
