  • Review and evaluate end-to-end reporting processes, including data sourcing, transformation, aggregation, and associated controls.
  • Assess data lineage, metadata management practices, and reporting architecture to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
  • Provide constructive challenge and oversight to business and technology teams regarding data management practices and control effectiveness.
  • Identify data-related risks, control weaknesses, and process improvement opportunities, documenting findings and recommendations.
  • Support the review and monitoring of remediation activities to ensure identified issues are addressed appropriately.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Technology, Data Management, and Regulatory Reporting functions.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and briefing materials for executive stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of data governance frameworks, validation methodologies, and reporting controls.
  • Monitor emerging regulatory developments and industry best practices relating to data governance, reporting, and risk management.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in Data Governance, Data Risk, Regulatory Reporting, Risk Management, Audit, Validation, or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience operating within regulated financial services environments.
  • Demonstrable expertise in data governance frameworks, data quality management, metadata management, and data lineage concepts.
  • Strong understanding of risk data aggregation, reporting controls, and regulatory reporting processes.
  • Experience reviewing complex data flows, reporting logic, and control frameworks.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience producing executive-level documentation.
  • Experience supporting regulatory reviews, audits, or assurance activities would be highly advantageous.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with regulatory data governance frameworks and reporting standards within financial services.
  • Previous experience in independent assurance, validation, second-line risk, or internal audit functions.
  • Understanding of enterprise data architecture and data management operating models.
  • Familiarity with regulatory change programmes and large-scale data transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of data stewardship, governance operating models, and reporting controls.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities within fast-paced and complex organisations.

Educational Requirements
