Digital Architect

We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation undergoing a major digital transformation and are seeking an experienced Digital Architect to join their growing technology team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering modern digital solutions across a complex enterprise environment. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to drive innovation, integration, and scalable digital capabilities.

The Role

As Digital Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and customer-focused digital solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives. You will lead the development of API-led and cloud-based architectures while supporting the integration of digital platforms across the wider technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable digital architecture solutions
• Lead API-driven and microservices-based integration initiatives
• Drive enterprise integration across platforms and legacy systems
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to define solution strategies
• Ensure alignment with security, governance, and compliance standards
• Provide architectural leadership and technical guidance across digital programmes

Required Experience & Technical Expertise

• Proven experience in a Digital Architect, Solutions Architect, or Enterprise Architect role
• Strong understanding of API-led architecture, microservices, and cloud-native technologies
• Experience delivering enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft or similar middleware platforms
• Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and distributed architecture patterns
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments and the full SDLC
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Experience providing architectural governance and technical leadership

Desirable Experience

• Experience within financial services, insurance, or regulated environments
• Exposure to ETL, data migration, and enterprise integration projects
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance best practices within enterprise environments
