My Dublin based client are seeking an experienced Director of Enterprise Applications on a permanent basis working on a hybrid model.
Overview
Working closely with programme, technology and business leadership, you will establish the operating model and standards for enterprise applications, drive adoption and continuous improvement, and own the long-term Dynamics 365 roadmap. The role combines deep Microsoft Dynamics 365 expertise with senior leadership, governance and commercial responsibility, ensuring enterprise applications deliver measurable business value beyond initial implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the Enterprise Applications Centre of Excellence, including its operating model, governance, team structure and ways of working.
- Take strategic ownership of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the wider enterprise applications portfolio.
- Own governance and standards for Microsoft Dynamics 365, including configuration, change control, release management and platform integrity.
- Define clear responsibilities and ways of working between the Enterprise Applications function, business stakeholders and ERP programme team.
- Lead adoption, change and value realisation, ensuring users are effectively supported and platform investment delivers measurable business outcomes.
- Own and prioritise the Dynamics 365 continuous improvement backlog and long-term roadmap.
- Assess Microsoft releases and identify opportunities to extend capabilities through Power Platform, Copilot, automation and analytics.
- Oversee enterprise application data governance, master data, data quality and integration standards.
- Work closely with architecture, data and technology teams to ensure the applications portfolio supports the wider technology strategy.
- Manage strategic relationships with Microsoft, implementation partners and managed service providers, ensuring strong performance and value from licensing and support arrangements.
- Build and lead a high-performing enterprise applications team spanning functional, technical and change capabilities.
Experience & Skills
- Significant senior-level experience in enterprise applications, ERP or platform ownership, ideally within a complex, multi-entity or international organisation.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and/or Business Central, including governance, design and continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and the wider Dynamics 365 ecosystem.
- Proven experience establishing or leading a Centre of Excellence, enterprise applications function or platform governance capability.
- Experience working alongside a major ERP implementation or transformation programme, with responsibility for post-go-live governance, adoption and improvement.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, master data, integrations and reporting.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, ALM, CI/CD and release management in a Dynamics 365 environment.
- Strong leadership, change management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior level.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to translate technology capability and investment into measurable business outcomes.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience; Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications are advantageous.
