Head of Data and AI

We are keen to connect with experienced Data and AI leaders for anticipated senior appointments across the Irish market.

These opportunities will suit individuals who can define an organisation’s data strategy while remaining close enough to delivery to ensure it produces measurable business value. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and work with senior stakeholders to establish how data, analytics and AI can support wider commercial and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities:

• Define and deliver an enterprise-wide data and AI strategy.
• Lead teams across data engineering, analytics, data science and AI.
• Develop modern cloud-based data platforms and operating models.
• Identify practical opportunities to introduce AI and automation.
• Establish effective data governance, quality and ownership frameworks.
• Build business cases and secure senior stakeholder support for investment.
• Partner with technology, product, risk and business leadership teams.
• Develop internal capability through hiring, mentoring and succession planning.

Experience required:

• Significant experience leading data, analytics or AI functions.
• A strong understanding of modern cloud data platforms and architectures.
• Experience delivering complex data transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy and regulatory requirements.
• A proven ability to communicate with executive-level stakeholders.
• Experience building and developing high-performing technical teams.
• The ability to connect technical investment with tangible business outcomes.

Experience within financial services, insurance, aviation, professional services or another regulated environment would be particularly relevant.
