HR Business Partner - 12 month FTC

Client Overview

Our client is a well-established organisation operating in a fast-paced commercial environment. They are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join their team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This role will play a key part in supporting leaders and employees across the business, ensuring delivery of effective people strategies aligned with organisational objectives.


Role Overview

The HR Business Partner will work closely with senior leaders and line managers, providing expert advice and hands-on support across all areas of the employee lifecycle. This is a high-impact role suited to a confident HR professional who can operate both strategically and operationally within a dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders and managers to support and deliver the people strategy in line with business objectives
  • Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management
  • Support talent management initiatives including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and retention
  • Coach and support managers to build strong leadership capability and promote a high-performance culture
  • Lead and support learning and development initiatives, identifying capability gaps and development opportunities
  • Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures and business transformation projects
  • Provide guidance on reward, compensation, and benefits processes
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and remain compliant with employment legislation
  • Analyse HR metrics and trends, providing insights and recommendations to leadership


Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist role
  • Strong experience managing complex employee relations issues
  • Proven ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Solid knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent) is desirable
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
