IAM Specialist

We’re currently seeking an experienced IAM (Identity and Access Management) Specialist to support a critical initiative within our financial services client’s infrastructure and security operations.

This is a daily rate contract for an initial period of 3 months, with a strong likelihood of extension. The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running, operating with minimal handholding in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, support, and optimise IAM solutions across a complex enterprise landscape.
• Deliver and maintain configurations within key identity systems, including:
• SailPoint IdentityNow
• Active Directory & Azure AD
• Microsoft Exchange
• Conduct user access reviews, entitlement management, and automation of provisioning/deprovisioning workflows.
• Work closely with IT security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with regulatory and policy requirements.
• Provide expert input into IAM roadmaps, maturity models, and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve identity-related incidents and support escalations.

Required Experience

• 5+ years hands-on experience in IAM roles within complex enterprise or financial services environments.
• Proven delivery experience with:
• SailPoint (preferably IdentityNow)
• Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
• Microsoft Exchange
• Strong understanding of access controls, authentication protocols, and identity lifecycle management.
• Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding or supervision.
• Experience navigating regulated environments and aligning solutions with compliance standards (e.g. ISO 27001, GDPR, SOX).

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools or integrations.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CIAM, or relevant Microsoft/Azure credentials.
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell) or identity governance automation.
