Technical Project Manager (Networks and Cloud Operations)
Job Description
Our client, a leading organisation within the technology and operational sectors, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong background in network engineering, data centres, cloud operations, and operational technology. This is a permanent position based in Dublin.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of technical projects across network engineering, data centre infrastructure, and cloud operations.
- Develop and manage project plans ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including network engineers, cloud specialists, and operational technology stakeholders.
- Oversee the implementation and optimisation of network solutions within cloud and on-premises environments.
- Engage with senior stakeholders, presenting project updates, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Maintain project documentation, reporting status updates, and tracking KPIs.
- Ensure operational technology systems are integrated and secure within both traditional and cloud-based environments.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to deliver solutions and maintain service excellence.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in project management within IT infrastructure, networks, or cloud environments.
- Demonstrable background in network engineering, including large-scale data centre projects.
- Expertise managing technical projects in cloud operations, particularly AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
- Proven experience managing operational technology projects in complex, mission-critical environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage across technical and business leadership.
Desirable Skills
- Professional certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or Agile PM.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect).
- Experience working within financial services, manufacturing, or similar highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud deployments and complex networking architectures.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles related to network and cloud infrastructures.
Educational Requirements
- 3rd Level Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
