Our client is a well-established provider of cloud-based cyber security solutions, delivering innovative email and data security services to organisations across Ireland and internationally. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Customer Technical Support Engineer to join their technical support team based in Sandyford, Dublin. The Role

As a Customer Technical Support Engineer, you will provide first-line technical support across a suite of cloud-based cyber security products. Acting as the first point of contact for customers, you will troubleshoot technical issues, configure services and deliver an exceptional customer experience via phone, email and ticketing systems. This role offers the opportunity to build expertise in email security technologies, networking and cloud services while working within a collaborative and supportive technical team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support via telephone, email and ticketing systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve customer technical issues efficiently.
  • Configure and support customer email accounts and related services.
  • Develop technical expertise across email security, DNS, anti-spam, anti-virus and anti-phishing technologies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions and technical resolutions.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while managing multiple support requests.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support rota as required.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT Technical Support, Helpdesk or Service Desk environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • A solid understanding of networking fundamentals and internet technologies.
  • Knowledge of DNS and MX records.
  • Experience working with ticket management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.


Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Email administration and email transport protocols.
  • Microsoft 365 and Microsoft technologies.
  • Active Directory.
  • Cloud-based technologies and services.
  • Cyber security products or managed services environments.
