Network Security Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to join their Central Security Services team. The role focuses on securing network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring compliance, resilience, and protection against evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, NAC, and WAF solutions.

• Design, implement, and support secure network architectures across cloud and on-premises environments.

• Monitor, analyse, and respond to network security incidents.

• Onboard and integrate network devices into SIEM platforms.

• Perform audits, tuning, patching, and upgrades of network security systems.

• Support incident response and act as an escalation point for network security issues.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure connectivity and integration.

• Produce clear documentation, playbooks, and technical guidance.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in network security engineering (10+ years in IT preferred).

• Strong hands-on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, etc.), IDS/IPS, VPN, WAF, and NAC solutions.

• Knowledge of cloud networking security controls (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, VPN, and TLS/SSL.

• Scripting/automation experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.).

• Familiarity with standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, MITRE ATT&CK.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, PCNSE, CISSP, Security+) are desirable.
