Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver multiple business and operational change initiatives within a large, complex financial services environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, taking responsibility for delivery from initial planning through implementation and transition into business-as-usual operations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans covering scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets, resources, dependencies and key milestones.
- Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders, business teams, technology functions and third-party partners to support successful project outcomes.
- Maintain appropriate project governance, ensuring risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and actions are identified, monitored and addressed.
- Produce clear and accurate project reporting and management information for senior stakeholders and relevant governance forums.
- Monitor delivery against agreed objectives, proactively escalating concerns and coordinating appropriate mitigation or corrective actions.
- Manage competing project constraints, including resources, timelines, costs, quality, scope and risk, to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved.
- Support implementation, operational readiness and post-delivery activities, including project reviews and lessons learned.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project Management, Programme Management, PMO, change delivery or a closely related position.
- Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously within a structured corporate environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience communicating with and presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage project governance, reporting, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets and delivery milestones.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to operate effectively across competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality project documentation and management reporting.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, decision-making and project ownership.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience delivering projects within financial services or another large, regulated environment.
- Experience using enterprise project or portfolio management platforms.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience supporting complex business change and transformation initiatives.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of project budget and resource management.
- A recognised Project Management qualification or certification.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes.
Educational Requirements
- A third-level qualification in Business, Project Management, Technology or another relevant discipline is preferred.
- Relevant professional Project Management qualifications will be viewed favourably.
