We are seeking an experienced Data Tester to join our QA Test Team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in data migration, cloud-based testing, and enterprise platforms such as Snowflake and Microsoft Dynamics 365. This role will suit someone with a strong background in validating complex data flows, ensuring data integrity, and supporting transformation programmes within financial or enterprise environments.
This is a hybrid role, with two days on-site and three days remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed data validation and reconciliation between legacy and target systems to ensure migration accuracy and completeness.

  • Design and execute test cases across data, integration, regression, and service layers — both manual and automated.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data mapping and transformation rules for Snowflake and D365 migrations.

  • Conduct ETL testing using tools such as Azure Data Factory and SSIS, validating data pipelines and transformation logic.

  • Validate entity structures and data loads within Microsoft Dynamics 365.

  • Identify and report anomalies, duplicates, and inconsistencies using appropriate analysis tools.

  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation (plans, results, defects) using Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar tools.

  • Participate in agile ceremonies and support effective planning and delivery in a hybrid environment.

Technical Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in QA and software testing.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation across Snowflake and SQL Server.

  • Familiarity with Snowflake (including virtual warehouses) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Dataverse.

  • Experience with ETL tools (Azure Data Factory, SSIS) and cloud-based data testing.

  • Understanding of data migration lifecycles — from source analysis through to post-load verification.

  • Exposure to test automation frameworks and scripting.

  • Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.

  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR).

Behavioural Competencies

  • Strong planning and organisational skills.

  • Clear communication and stakeholder influence.

  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.

  • Results-driven with a focus on quality outcomes.

  • Analytical thinker and proactive problem-solver.

Education & Certifications

  • ISTQB or equivalent QA certification desirable.

  • IT-related qualification preferred.
