We are seeking an experienced Data Tester to join our QA Test Team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in data migration, cloud-based testing, and enterprise platforms such as Snowflake and Microsoft Dynamics 365. This role will suit someone with a strong background in validating complex data flows, ensuring data integrity, and supporting transformation programmes within financial or enterprise environments.
This is a hybrid role, with two days on-site and three days remote.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed data validation and reconciliation between legacy and target systems to ensure migration accuracy and completeness.
Design and execute test cases across data, integration, regression, and service layers — both manual and automated.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data mapping and transformation rules for Snowflake and D365 migrations.
Conduct ETL testing using tools such as Azure Data Factory and SSIS, validating data pipelines and transformation logic.
Validate entity structures and data loads within Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Identify and report anomalies, duplicates, and inconsistencies using appropriate analysis tools.
Maintain comprehensive test documentation (plans, results, defects) using Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar tools.
Participate in agile ceremonies and support effective planning and delivery in a hybrid environment.
Technical Skills
Minimum 5 years’ experience in QA and software testing.
Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation across Snowflake and SQL Server.
Familiarity with Snowflake (including virtual warehouses) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Dataverse.
Experience with ETL tools (Azure Data Factory, SSIS) and cloud-based data testing.
Understanding of data migration lifecycles — from source analysis through to post-load verification.
Exposure to test automation frameworks and scripting.
Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR).
