QA Test Analyst

A well-established financial services organisation is looking to recruit an experienced Test Analyst to join its QA Test Team on a contract basis. This role offers a hybrid working model, combining in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

Role Responsibilities

• Produce structured test plans based on business and functional requirements
• Develop comprehensive test cases for System, UAT, Integration, Regression, and Service-Oriented testing (manual and automated)
• Prioritise and manage multiple tasks under tight timelines, including coordinating cross-functional work
• Operate effectively in an Agile environment, helping define achievable project plans and timelines
• Report and track test progress regularly using metrics-based approaches
• Demonstrate a strong track record in delivering QA objectives and targets, including within remote working setups

Technical Competencies

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in QA and software testing
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming for test automation (preferably JavaScript or TypeScript with Playwright or Puppeteer)
• Experience with Service-Oriented Testing (e.g., API testing)
• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to develop and execute queries
• Familiarity with bug and issue management tools
• Experience using test case management systems
• Proven testing experience within the Financial Services sector
• Experience in Cloud-Based Testing and AI testing (advantageous)

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT discipline or equivalent
• ISTQB or similar QA/testing certification (desirable)
