Risk Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Operational Risk to support a strategic BCBS 239 / RDARR implementation programme. The role will lead the Second Line of Defence validation programme, providing independent oversight, challenge, and assurance over delivery to ensure regulatory expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the 2LoD validation plan aligned to BCBS 239 principles.
• Coordinate independent validation across data governance, data quality, data lineage, controls, and risk reporting.
• Provide effective challenge and oversight of 1LoD programme delivery.
• Manage stakeholders across Risk, Data, Technology, and senior governance forums.
• Track validation outcomes, findings, challenges, and remediation actions.
• Support regulatory engagement, supervisory reviews, and internal audit requirements.
• Produce high-quality reporting, governance materials, and audit-ready documentation.

Required Experience

• Strong experience in Operational Risk, Risk Assurance, Internal Audit, Regulatory Compliance, or related areas.
• Good understanding of BCBS 239 / RDARR requirements.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, controls, risk reporting, or regulatory change programmes.
• Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders and governance forums.
• Strong project management, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Experience operating in a Second Line of Defence environment is preferred.
