Job Description:
Our client, a highly respected and fast-growing specialist software solutions provider, is seeking an ambitious and driven Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary technology projects. Job Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget constraints.
- Lead and mentor a team of delivery professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with geographically distributed teams and stakeholders to maintain project alignment and standards.
- Maintain detailed project documentation including plans, budgets, and risk registers.
- Take ownership of project profitability, managing budgets, resource costs, and tracking gross profit.
- Support the preparation of Statements of Work in collaboration with functional leads.
- Drive weekly resource planning and allocation, ensuring optimal use of internal team members.
- Report regularly on project status, risk, and performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and executive briefings.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
- Proven experience delivering complex software or systems integration projects across multiple stakeholders.
- Previous involvement in leading cross-functional teams including PMs, BAs, QA, and developers.
- Strong track record in financial management of projects, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
- Experience working with structured project delivery frameworks such as PRINCE2 or PMP.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in a scaling or SME environment.
- Familiarity with project and collaboration tools such as Wrike, JIRA, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to hybrid working environments with remote teams.
- Ability to navigate resource planning tools and lead weekly utilisation reviews.
- Comfortable operating within dynamic, fast-paced delivery organisations.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications in project management (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP) are highly advantageous.
