Level 1 Service Desk Technician - Drivers License Needed

Job Description:

Our client, a leading organisation within professional services, is seeking a Level 1 Service Desk Technician to provide first-line technical support and ensure a high standard of service delivery across the business.

Job Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for technical queries, logging and resolving incidents in line with agreed service levels
• Provide support for a range of hardware, software, and user access issues across the organisation
• Escalate more complex technical issues to second-line support teams where required
• Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices including desktops, laptops, and mobile equipment
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and updates within the service management system
• Contribute to and update internal knowledge base documentation
• Communicate effectively with users, providing clear updates and guidance in a professional manner
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for equipment maintenance and repairs when necessary

Experience Required

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a service desk or IT support environment
• Hands-on experience supporting desktop operating systems and end-user hardware
• Exposure to Active Directory and Office 365 administration
• Familiarity with IT service management tools and processes
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support users at all levels of the organisation

Desirable Skills

• ITIL Foundation certification or knowledge of ITIL practices
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft certifications
• Experience working in a structured, SLA-driven environment
• Ability to troubleshoot issues methodically and work under pressure
• Experience supporting remote users and multi-site environments

Educational Requirements

• Third-level degree or diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline
