Job Description
Our client, a leading financial services provider, is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee and deliver strategic change initiatives. This role requires end-to-end project delivery experience, working across business and technology teams to ensure successful execution.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all phases of change projects, from initial scoping through to service transition and post-implementation support.
- Manage comprehensive project activities including business case development, requirements gathering, design, testing (SIT & UAT), deployment, and business readiness.
- Adapt and apply appropriate delivery methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile (Scrum), or Lean, tailored to each project.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring milestones, resources, and budgets are managed to deliver expected outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing accurate updates on status, risks, and dependencies.
- Identify, manage, and escalate risks and issues proactively, ensuring project momentum is maintained.
- Support stakeholders in decision-making processes through effective facilitation and relevant reporting.
- Ensure projects align with organisational readiness for change and comply with internal governance and quality standards.
Experience Required
- Minimum 7 years of project management experience, preferably within financial services or insurance sectors.
- Proven success in delivering complex, cross-functional projects in hybrid legacy and modern IT environments.
- Demonstrated experience in Agile delivery and working with product and design teams.
- Familiarity with managing vendor and third-party relationships in a matrix structure.
- Strong background in system integration projects with technical literacy.
Desirable Skills
- Certification or experience as a Scrum Master.
- Previous experience in life insurance or financial services in the Irish market.
- Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders constructively.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in issue resolution under pressure.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
