Glasgow (Hybrid - 2 days per week in office)
Basic salary circa £80k
A well-established organisation is looking to bring in an AI Engineer to help scale its intelligent automation capability. This AI Engineer role is centred around building AI-led solutions that streamline processes, improve decision-making, and enhance the overall user experience.
Working as part of a wider technology function, the AI Engineer will design, build, and run automation solutions that combine generative AI, workflow tools, and system integrations. You'll be involved across the full lifecycle - from shaping ideas and selecting the right approach, through to delivery, monitoring, and ongoing improvement.
The role suits an AI Engineer who enjoys hands-on engineering but also wants to influence standards, approaches, and the wider direction of AI adoption within a business.
AI Engineer - Key Requirements:
- Proven experience building AI or automation solutions in a commercial setting
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft AI and automation tooling (Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure OpenAI)
- Experience designing workflows that combine AI with traditional automation approaches
- Understanding of APIs, authentication, and enterprise system integration
- Experience working with data securely and applying governance principles
- Ability to design solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and observable
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
