Job Title: AI Project Manager
Location: Manchester, 2x a week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of AI and intelligent automation initiatives within a forward-thinking fiancial services organisation.

Senior Project Manager - AI Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and delivery of AI and automation projects from concept through to implementation and adoption.
- Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to define AI use cases, project scope, and measurable success criteria.
- Oversee delivery of initiatives such as machine learning model deployment, process automation, chatbots, or predictive analytics solutions.
- Ensure project governance, reporting, and documentation align with internal frameworks and regulatory standards.
- Manage risks, issues, and dependencies across multiple AI workstreams.
- Build strong partnerships with technology, data, and business change teams to ensure alignment and delivery success.
- Drive user engagement and adoption of AI solutions across the business, ensuring value realisation.
- Facilitate steering groups and provide executive-level updates on progress and benefits delivered.
Senior Project Manager Requirements
- Proven experience delivering AI, data, or automation-driven projects within financial services or another highly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of technology-enabled change, particularly involving data platforms, analytics, or automation tools (e.g. ML, NLP, RPA, GenAI).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior and executive levels.
- Strong project planning, governance, and risk management skills across both Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Experience collaborating with data science or engineering teams to deliver proofs of concept and production-scale AI solutions.
- Financial services and insurance industry experience is preferred.
- Experience managing third-party AI or tech vendors is desirable.
