Azure DevOps Engineer Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Entra ID / Azure AD for user accounts, email management, password resets, and system access.

  • Oversee asset inventory management including equipment tracking and allocation.

  • Build and enhance the organisation's Microsoft Defender security posture.

  • Administer enterprise applications, including licensing and access control.

  • Provide day‑to‑day platform operational support for pipelines, VMs, and deployments.

  • Troubleshoot issues across cloud and IT systems.

  • Document and maintain standard operating procedures.

  • Use PowerShell or Bash scripting to automate routine tasks.

  • Support incident management processes and contribute to root‑cause analysis.

Azure Devops Engineer Requirements

  • Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Azure.

  • Proficiency in Entra ID and application licensing management.

  • Experience with troubleshooting IT systems and managing inventory.

  • Understanding of ITIL support processes, particularly incident management.

  • Basic scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender and cloud security best practices.

  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • ITIL incident management certification or equivalent experience.

  • Exposure to Terraform, GitOps, or other advanced DevOps tools.

  • Knowledge of Azure infrastructure foundations.
