This is a serious leadership opportunity for an experienced billing manager ready to take full ownership of a growing tech recruitment operation in Manchester, with the full backing of an established, fast-scaling international business behind them.
At Fruition Group, we work with some of the most exciting technology and advanced engineering businesses across the UK, Ireland, EU and USA. We're now looking for the right person to lead our Manchester Tech function, drive revenue growth, and build a team that sets the standard in the market.
You'll be based in our Manchester office alongside our Advanced Engineering team, working in close collaboration with our Leeds tech team and our specialist tech consultancy, Enablis. The infrastructure, the client base, and the cross-business support are already in place. This is your chance to lead it.
The Opportunity
You'll own the billing performance, revenue growth and margin delivery of Fruition's Manchester Tech recruitment operations across both contract and permanent markets. You'll lead and develop a team of consultants, embed scalable processes, build sustainable pipelines, and help define how Fruition wins in Manchester.
Day to day, you'll work side by side with the Advanced Engineering team sharing your office, maintaining close alignment with the Leeds tech team, and collaborating with Enablis to identify consultancy and statement of work opportunities that complement your team's activity. This is a genuinely connected, cross-functional role with real commercial breadth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Owning the billing, margin and revenue performance of the Manchester Tech function across contract and permanent markets
- Leading, mentoring and managing a mixed team of recruitment consultants, setting clear targets and holding people accountable while coaching them to grow
- Working closely with the Leeds tech team to identify cross-selling opportunities and share market intelligence
- Collaborating with Enablis to identify statements of work and consultancy opportunities that complement your team's recruitment activity
- Sharing office space and collaborating day to day with Fruition's Advanced Engineering team in Manchester
- Building and growing relationships with key clients in the UK and EU tech sector
- Identifying scalable markets and new opportunities within tech to support the team's growth
- Recruiting, onboarding and integrating new team members as the Manchester function scales
- Developing and embedding best practices across the full recruitment lifecycle
- Working with Fruition's BD and sales teams to win new clients and expand existing accounts
- Monitoring key metrics including pipeline health, conversion rates, margin and consultant performance, and course-correcting proactively
- Championing CRM, ATS and performance dashboards to support efficient scaling and visibility
- Feeding local market insights on rates, demand trends and competitor activity into Fruition's broader strategy
- Fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture aligned with Fruition's values
What We're Looking For
Essential
- 2 or more years' experience managing a recruitment team, ideally within tech, engineering or digital sectors
- A demonstrable track record of exceeding billing and margin targets across contract and permanent markets
- Experience scaling or growing a recruitment team in a high-growth environment
- Strong commercial acumen and business development experience; able to win mandates and manage senior client relationships
- Deep understanding of contract and permanent recruitment dynamics including rates, compliance and renewals
- An excellent communicator, coach and stakeholder influencer
- Data-driven and comfortable using dashboards and metrics to guide decisions
Desirable
- Prior experience in a recruitment or staffing scale-up environment
- Experience in tech or engineering recruitment verticals
- An existing network across UK or EU tech
- Familiarity with Fruition's sectors or working methodologies
