Build Engineer - Desktop

Job Title: Desktop Build Engineer (Contract)
Location: Oxford (5 days on-site)
Competitive daily rate (Inside IR35)
Contract Length - 3 months

A leading professional services organisation that has made 2 major acquisitions require an experienced Desktop Rollout Engineer to build and configure new equipment.

Role Overview:
This contract will support a high-priority IT integration, initially focusing on the Oxford hub. The role will involve laptop/desktop builds, configuration, and deployment as part of a broader refresh programme. Equipment is already ordered and scheduled for delivery.

Desktop Rollout Engineer Responsibilities:
* Build, configure and deploy Windows-based laptops and desktops
* Install and configure software within a Microsoft 365 and SCCM environment
* Support hardware refresh projects across multiple UK sites
* Ensure all devices are compliant with security and licensing standards
* Work with internal stakeholders to prioritise deployment schedules
* Provide basic deskside support during the rollout phase

Desktop Rollout Engineer Requirements:
* Proven experience in desktop rollout or hardware refresh projects
* Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and SCCM
* Experience with on-prem Active Directory environments
* Ability to hit the ground running and manage workloads independently
* Full UK driving licence preferred (travel to other sites may be required)
* DBS and background checks will be conducted as part of onboarding
