Why Apply?
This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior technical leadership role at a forward-thinking technology consultancy, working across genuinely complex and socially impactful software solutions. If you thrive in fast-paced, agile environments and want to shape engineering culture as much as you write code, this role is built for you.

Lead DevOps Engineer Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor an agile DevSecOps team, driving technical excellence and best practice across engineering delivery
  • Design and implement robust cloud infrastructure solutions, with a focus on Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Product Delivery leads, and client stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs
  • Take ownership of technical architecture decisions, including AI-enabled tooling and bespoke software solutions
  • Oversee regulatory compliance, infrastructure governance, and resourcing visibility across engineering pipelines
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and pragmatic problem solving

Lead DevOps Engineer Requirements

  • Must have active SC clearance
  • Experience in a DevOps or technical lead role
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, RESTful APIs, Git, CI/CD, and AWS
  • Experience in a technical architecture or engineering leadership capacity
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies and how to apply them in practice
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • AWS Solutions Architect certification or equivalent is desirable
  • Experience deploying AI solutions is a bonus
  • Comfortable with change and ideally with start-up or high-growth environments

What's in it for me?

  • A genuinely varied and hands-on leadership role - no two weeks the same
  • The opportunity to build and scale a DevSecOps function from a position of influence
  • Work that makes a real difference, solutions designed to drive societal change
  • Professional development and the autonomy to innovate

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
