This contract Test Manager role is working with a leading provider of business process outsourcing & support services for the public and commercial sectors. This is an 8 months contract assignment (outside IR35) to start asap, working out of the Cardiff office once per week.

The Opportunity

As a Test Manager, you'll be responsible for shaping and delivering the testing strategy, building an effective test capability and driving continuous improvement in test automation, integration and quality assurance.

What You'll Do

• Lead, develop and inspire a team of System Testers
• Create and deliver test strategies to ensure quality, stability, and successful project delivery.
• Oversee day to day testing activities including system, regression and integration testing
• Support business-led UAT activities, ensuring readiness for live deployment.
• Provide expert advice on testing best practices, tools, and methodologies.
• Drive continuous improvement across all testing processes.
• Manage and report on key testing metrics, performance, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with software engineering and product teams.

What You'll Bring

Essential:

• Strong knowledge of testing principles, lifecycle phases, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience managing testing in complex environments.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
