Data Protection Specialist

Remote, UK

6 Month Contract

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Data Protection Specialist with strong OneTrust experience to join a leading technology client on a contract basis. This isn't a traditional data protection or policy role - you'll be working on the technical side of data protection, getting hands-on with systems, workflows and automation to deliver practical solutions to the business.

As a Data Protection Specialist, you'll play a key role in improving and delivering data protection processes across the business, using OneTrust to support assessments, consent management and workflow automation. You'll work hands-on with privacy technology, helping to configure systems, streamline processes and deliver practical solutions that make data protection more efficient and data-driven.

The Data Protection Specialist will be working across data protection, technology and business teams, with a particular focus on automation, AI, workflows and APIs. This role will suit a Data Protection Specialist who has experience with system implementations and enjoys getting stuck into technology and finding better ways of working. You don't need to be a privacy engineer or software engineer.

Data Protection Specialist - Key Requirements:

  • Strong professional experience in data protection, privacy or similar roles
  • Hands-on experience configuring and implementing OneTrust
  • Experience with OneTrust assessment workflows and / or self-service assessment models
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of cookies and cookie management
  • Experience with consent management platforms
  • Understanding of workflows, APIs and process automation
  • Experience delivering data protection system implementations
  • An interest in using AI to optimise and automate processes, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly

If you're a Data Protection Specialist with strong OneTrust experience looking for a hands-on contract role where you can work across data protection, technology, automation and AI, this is an opportunity to make a tangible impact from day one. Our client is ready to move quickly for an October start.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or age.
