We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to support a major infrastructure transformation project, focused on migrating an existing on-premises Kubernetes environment to Red Hat OpenShift.

You will play a hands-on role in the migration of containerised workloads, helping to modernise the existing platform and ensure a smooth transition. Working closely with infrastructure and engineering teams, you will help deliver a secure, scalable and reliable container platform within an enterprise financial services environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support the migration of on-premises Kubernetes environments and workloads to Red Hat OpenShift.

• Assess existing deployments, configurations and dependencies to plan and execute migrations.

• Deploy, configure and maintain OpenShift clusters within on-premises infrastructure.

• Migrate containerised applications, ensuring compatibility and minimal disruption.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration management solutions.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, storage and container orchestration issues.

• Support monitoring, logging and platform reliability.

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years' experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering.

• Strong hands-on Kubernetes and container orchestration experience.

• Practical experience with Red Hat OpenShift, ideally involving Kubernetes-to-OpenShift migrations.

• Familiarity with Helm, OpenShift Operators and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD.

• Experience working with on-premises infrastructure and Linux environments.

• Understanding of networking, storage and containerisation (Docker/Podman).

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.

• Scripting experience with Python or Bash.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work within complex technical environments.
