Our client provides leading business support services across both public and commercial sectors and is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to strengthen their internal technology capability. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with people management, helping scale and mature two key engineering teams while driving delivery excellence across the organisation.

Engineering Manager Responsibilities

• Own and evolve engineering practices, standards, and delivery processes to improve quality and efficiency
• Provide people leadership, coaching, and line management to software engineers across multiple teams
• Provide technical guidance and leadership across projects, including architecture and technology decisions
• Identify and remove delivery blockers, enabling teams to perform at their best
• Contribute to strategic planning, roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives

Engineering Manager Requirements

• Proven experience leading and managing software engineering teams in a technical environment
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in either .NET or PHP ecosystems
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, including migration or modernisation initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to balance people leadership with technical decision-making
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
