Engineering Manager

Location: Leeds city centre, hybrid working with 2 days onsite each week
Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 plus benefits

Engineering Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
  • Provide technical direction across modern web technologies including React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • The wider technology environment includes Node.js, React, TypeScript, AWS (Lambda & ECS), and Terraform.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders and external partners.
  • Drive engineering standards and promote a positive, high-performing team culture.
  • Support and mentor engineers, enabling continuous development and progression.

Engineering Manager Requirements

  • Previous experience operating as an Engineering Manager.
  • Strong background in React, JavaScript and TypeScript, with the ability to support and guide teams.
  • A proactive and people-focused leader, with a collaborative approach and enthusiasm for coaching others.
  • Confident managing stakeholders at multiple levels, including executives and third parties.
  • An interest in and exposure to AI tools and technologies.
