Job Title: Head of Data and Innovation
Location: Hybrid - Leeds
Salary: Up to £125,000 + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to shape strategic cycles and prioritise initiatives.
  • Define and execute a forward-thinking data strategy aligned to business objectives and digital transformation plans.
  • Establish and maintain strong data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance.
  • Lead BI, analytics, and insight functions to support predictive modelling, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Drive the identification, evaluation, and implementation of emerging technologies including AI, automation, IoT, and advanced analytics.
  • Create an innovation roadmap, fostering experimentation, pilot activity, and scalable delivery.
  • Set clear performance measures and evaluate the ROI of data and innovation activity.
  • Ensure data assets unlock new commercial opportunities and enhance customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Proven background in senior data, innovation, and transformation leadership.
  • Strong technical understanding across data strategy and modern data platforms.
  • Ability to challenge technical stakeholders with analytical and commercial insight.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven experience influencing and collaborating at executive level.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to translate insights into measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience leading BI, analytics, or data-led programmes.
  • Strategic mindset.

Desirable:

  • Experience within mobility, logistics, financial services, or tech-enabled service environments.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML, automation, GDPR, and ISO standards.
  • Degree in a related field, with advanced qualifications beneficial.
