Role: Head of Delivery
Salary: Up to £130k + package
Location: Ipswich (Hybrid 3 days Office / 2 days remote). The role will involve some travel to Glasgow.
Fruition are currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Delivery to play a key role in the growth and transformation strategy of a market leading organisation. The role will report to the Chief Technology Officer and will take responsibility for establishing and leading a high performing technology delivery function. The role will lead a team of direct and matrix managed reports across multiple organisations within the group. As fantastic role with a great organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Organisational Design
- Create an effective delivery organisation and operating model
- Define roles, skills gaps and recruit/upskilling the team to ensure capability
- Create a change plan to implement and establish new ways of working
Investment and Portfolio Lifecycle Management
- Own the prioritisation and sequencing process
- Establish and own capacity planning
- Establish governance and stage gates
- Facilitate and guide the investment decision making framework, documentation and tracking
Governance and Ways of Working
- Select, define and continually improve delivery frameworks, methodologies and standards for both project and product delivery
- Instrument the delivery lifecycle with defined reporting cadence and quality to maintain visibility at all levels without drag-factor
- Ensure best practice across planning, estimating, risk and dependency management
Stakeholder and Executive Engagement
- Create trust and strong relationships with executive stakeholders
- Working with Domain Technology Leads translate road maps into implementable delivery plans
Required Skill and Experience
- Proven experience in a Head of Delivery role or similar, taking the lead on technical delivery programmes
- Experience of leading large sale technical programmes.
- Experience of establishing and embedding organisational designs and processes in complex organisational environments.
- Experience of establishing Agile processes and working in product driven environments
- Demonstrable success of growing and developing teams and individuals.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
