The IT Team Lead will take ownership of day-to-day IT service delivery, provide senior technical support, and lead a small team of technicians covering infrastructure, security, and workplace technology. You'll be hands-on across a broad technical remit - supporting legacy on-premises systems whilst driving forward cloud adoption, SharePoint, and a move to modern helpdesk capability.
Working alongside the Head of IT, external suppliers, and end users across several sites, the IT Team Lead will keep reliable, secure IT services running whilst contributing to a genuine programme of digital change. There's also scope to influence long-term strategy, push forward automation, and continuously improve how IT is delivered across the organisation.
IT Team Lead - Key Requirements:
- Previous experience line managing a technical team
- Solid, hands-on background in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure
- Comfortable supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and end user devices
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft cloud - Entra, Intune, and Azure preferred
- Used to managing relationships with third-party suppliers and external partners
- Proactive mindset with a genuine interest in automation and service improvement
- Clear communicator who can support, coach, and develop a small team
- Solid awareness of cybersecurity principles and best practice
IT Team Lead - Salary & Benefits:
- Basic salary up to £46k
- 36 days holiday (incl. bank holidays)
- Free on-site parking
- 5% employer pension contribution
- Enhanced family leave pay
- Employee assistance programme
- Learning and professional development opportunities
This IT Team Lead role would suit someone who enjoys rolling their sleeves up technically whilst also getting the best out of a small team - all within an environment where the work genuinely matters.
Please note that this role would require full-time onsite presence in Leeds owing to the nature of the work and organisation.
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates, regardless of race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or age.
