Job Title: Junior BI Analyst

Location: Peterborough OR Halifax, 1x per fortnight

Salary: £30,000 + discretionary bonus

Junior BI Analyst - Why Apply?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing central Data & BI team and be part of the expansion of a developing data function. You will work in a collaborative, delivery focused environment, supporting the migration and development of reporting tools and dashboards, and playing a key role in shaping the analytics capability of the business.

This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about data, with a strong desire to learn and grow into a broader analytics or BI role over time. You will gain hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, Excel, and legacy reporting tools, while working alongside experienced data professionals in a team that values innovation and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.
  • Supporting the migration of Excel and Tableau reports into Power BI, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Implementing updates and enhancements to existing dashboards under guidance from senior team members.
  • Performing data validation and quality checks to ensure outputs are reliable.
  • Documenting datasets, reports, and business logic to maintain BI standards.
  • Undertaking routine reporting and operational tasks to support the wider team.
  • Responding to data and reporting requests in collaboration with senior colleagues.
  • Continuously developing your skills and understanding of the data landscape.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of data concepts and experience working with structured datasets.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Comfortable with Excel and legacy reporting formats.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
  • Organised and capable of managing routine tasks effectively.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to learn.

Desirable:

  • Experience migrating reports from Excel or Tableau into Power BI.
  • Hands on experience building basic Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Awareness of data modelling concepts.
