Junior Software Engineer (Backend)

Leeds - 2x a week

Salary - up to £35,000

Fruition Group are working with a well-established tech-first business who are embarking on a complete technical transformation. This client is looking to bring in a Junior Backend Software Engineer to work on a bespoke software platform as part of the business growth.

The Junior Software Engineer will be part of the team responsible for building a bespoke SaaS product, and creating a low latent high performing connected platform. You will be working with Terraform as the infrastructure as code, and working with Node.js as the backend framework, spun up into an AWS platform.

What will I be doing?

• Developing web applications and systems using JavaScript, Node and Typescript.
• Define and analyse business requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and integrations to enhance deployment.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and tested to develop unit code.
• Working in an AWS environment.

Key requirements:

• 1+ Years experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Typescript and Node.
• Experience with .NET, Java, Javascript OR Typescript is preferred.
• AWS OR Azure Experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with React (desirable).
• Understanding of Terraform as infrastructure as code.
• Experience with other backend technologies.
• Agile ways of working (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and to your own initiative.
