Role: Programme Manager
Salary: Up to £65,000 + exceptional pension + package
Location: Remote, with occasional UK travel

Fruition are working with a fantastic public sector organisation that is experiencing a period of growth. They are looking to hire a Programme Manager with a broad delivery background, someone comfortable leading programmes that include both technical and non-technical elements. The role will involve taking ownership of several crucial programmes, with a significant opportunity to make a real difference to their successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with both internal and external senior stakeholders to ensure their interests are identified and addressed, influencing and engaging with them to manage the programme effectively.
  • Communicate regularly, engaging in professional debate to resolve issues, address differences between stakeholders, and challenge assumptions where appropriate.
  • Provide visible leadership and line management (including matrix management where required) for the programme team, leading by example and demonstrating the organisation's core values.
  • Coach and mentor programme and project staff to enable them to operate effectively within their roles.
  • Foster team cohesion, ensuring regular meetings take place-at least monthly face-to-face sessions and quarterly full-team meetings.
  • Build and maintain a strong, delivery-focused programme team.
  • Cascade the organisational vision and translate it into clear delivery objectives for the team.
  • Keep up to date with best practice and ensure continuous evaluation and improvement of programme and project management approaches.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Programme Management role.

  • Experience of leading complex, high-profile programmes.

  • Experience of managing both technical and non-technical workstreams.

  • MSP Practitioner certification (essential).

  • Experience in an Agile environment; Agile qualifications are highly desirable.

  • Public sector experience would be highly beneficial.
