I'm currently working with a forward-thinking insurance client who is investing heavily in their data and analytics capability. They've recently launched a new enterprise data platform and are now looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to play a key role in scaling out their reporting and insights layer - primarily built around Power BI and SSAS Tabular.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, business, and technology, and wants to own the development and optimisation of reporting solutions across multiple business units.

The Role:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into scalable analytics solutions

  • Develop advanced Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and SSAS Tabular models

  • Optimise performance of existing reports and models, implementing BI best practice

  • Support the integration of AI tools into the reporting suite as part of a 2025 innovation roadmap

  • Act as a senior lead within the reporting team - providing technical direction and mentoring others

  • Operate in an Agile delivery environment, ensuring solutions are well-documented and production-ready

Tech Stack & Experience:

  • Strong Power BI (including DAX & paginated reports)

  • Advanced SSAS Tabular model development

  • T-SQL development and data modelling

  • Exposure to AI tools, Python, Databricks or predictive analytics (beneficial, not essential)

  • Insurance or wider financial services background preferred

  • Strong communicator - confident engaging stakeholders across the business

If you're a business-facing BI professional looking to take ownership of reporting strategy in a complex data environment, this role could be a great fit.
