The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Data & Analytics Senior Manager to lead and shape a growing Data & Analytics capability at a pivotal point in its development.

This role sits at the heart of an ambition to deliver a more efficient, consistent and insight-driven supervisory model-bringing together data and analytics to strengthen judgement and improve outcomes across the financial sector.

You will lead a team responsible for enabling efficient, data-led supervision, ensuring that data and analytics are embedded in day-to-day decision-making and risk assessment across a large and diverse portfolio of regulated firms.

The Organisation:

Our client is a leading UK financial services regulatory body. Their mission is to maintain a safe, sound and competitive UK banking system.

The Data & Analytics team sits within a division that combines sector supervision with a central data capability. The team is focused on improving data access and usability, delivering self-serve analytical tools, building capability in modern data techniques and AI, and supporting key organisation-wide programmes and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Set and deliver the Data & Analytics strategy, aligning closely with divisional and wider organisational priorities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration and innovation
  • Act as a core member of the senior management team, contributing to divisional leadership and direction

Data-Led Supervision

  • Drive the transition from data provision to data-driven insight, ensuring outputs are closely aligned to operational needs
  • Ensure the team delivers high-quality MI, data tools and analytics that support risk-based decision-making
  • Work closely with supervisors to improve efficiency, productivity and forward-looking judgement

Tooling, Analytics & Innovation:

  • Oversee development of self-serve data tools and analytical products, focusing on usability and impact

  • Lead engagement with data, technology and AI initiatives, embedding new capabilities into supervision workflows

  • Promote a coherent and streamlined tooling suite, reducing duplication and improving user experience

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Support cross-firm supervision and thematic analysis
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation and wider sector, influencing how data is used in supervision
  • Represent the function in cross-organisational data and analytics initiatives

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Proven experience leading data, analytics or technical teams in a complex organisation
  • Track record of delivering complex programmes or transforming analytical capability
  • Strong understanding of how data and insight support decision-making, ideally in a regulatory or financial services context
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders
  • Strong people leadership - developing teams, creating shared vision and delivering outcomes through others
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial or operational data independently and draw well-reasoned conclusions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels of seniority
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

What You'll Get:

  • A leadership role at the centre of a significant data transformation agenda within UK financial services regulation
  • The opportunity to shape how data, analytics and AI support a major UK banking system
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic priorities at the highest levels of UK financial regulation
  • A platform to lead innovation in an area critical to the future of supervision
  • Salary circa £83,000-£93,000 plus benefits package
  • Based in Leeds - part of an expanding northern presence

Take the next step in your career and make a meaningful impact on the banking industry. If you're passionate about data and eager to lead a forward-thinking team, we want to hear from you!
