Role: Contract Senior Frontend Engineer
Rate: c. £550 Outside IR35 Per Day
Location: Leeds - Hybrid (2 days on site/PW)
Length: 3-6 months

Role Overview

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising customer-facing web applications. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver intuitive, performant, and accessible interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of frontend architecture and features using React.

• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend teams to deliver features end-to-end.

• Ensure applications are performant, responsive, and accessible across devices and browsers.

• Write clean, testable, and efficient code following best practices and modern standards.

• Contribute to improving frontend tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and developer experience.

Requirements

• Strong programming ability in React (hooks, state management, component architecture).

• Proven experience in frontend architecture and scaling web applications.

• Solid understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).

• Awareness of RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
