This is a crucial hire for a genuinely transformation-driven role. Our client needs a hands-on PM who'll get into the detail, keep the delivery honest, and hold both suppliers and stakeholders accountable throughout. You'll be replacing an outdated policy administration system across three external suppliers, ideally with insurance or financial services experience and a track record managing multiple suppliers through complex migrations.
Responsibilities
- Manage delivery of internal technology discovery activities, ensuring key artefacts are produced to agreed scope, quality and timescales
- Coordinate the creation of architecture designs, integration mapping, data quality assessments, technical requirements and environment considerations
- Work closely with business workstreams, SMEs and programme stakeholders to prioritise technology activities and manage dependencies
- Facilitate collaboration between architecture, data, integration and business teams to keep technology solutions aligned to operating model requirements
- Identify, track and escalate technology risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
- Support assessment of vendor proposals and designs, providing internal technology insight and impact analysis
- Drive a proactive approach to data quality, addressing root causes and building controls to prevent recurrence
- Coordinate cross-functional workshops and working groups to reach agreement on technology requirements, design decisions and delivery priorities
- Maintain visibility of progress and key decisions, reporting regularly to the Workstream Lead and wider programme governance forums
- Support readiness assessments and phase exit activities, ensuring all technology deliverables are completed and approved
Requirements
- Strong project or delivery management experience within technology and data-led transformation programmes
- Working knowledge of architecture, systems integration and data quality concepts, with the ability to translate these into clear deliverables
- Proven experience coordinating across multiple stakeholder groups, including SMEs, architects and business teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly around data quality root-cause analysis
- Confident communicator, comfortable producing reporting for workstream and programme governance forums
- Experience working within a multi-vendor or partner delivery environment is advantageous
- Formal project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, Agile PM) desirable
