Service Desk Analyst
Location: Doncaster (On-site)
Rate: Up to £245 per day - Inside IR35

Service Desk Analyst Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for IT support, logging, categorising, and resolving incidents and service requests
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults, escalating to resolver groups where necessary to maintain SLAs
  • Provide clear advice and guidance on technical solutions, workarounds, and security best practices
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of problems, contributing to preventative measures and continual service improvement
  • Install, configure, and maintain software, applications, and operating systems
  • Maintain accurate asset records and update CMDB and knowledge management systems


Service Desk Analyst Requirements

  • Previous experience in a 1st line IT support or service desk analyst role
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows Desktop OS
  • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles - Foundation certification or equivalent experience is desirable
  • SDI Certified Service Desk Analyst or equivalent experience is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills with a methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Understanding of basic networking and security methodologies
