This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior SQL DBA to play a vital role in managing and optimising large scale SQL Server environments within a global enterprise. This position offers exposure to complex database challenges, cutting edge technologies, and the chance to shape future infrastructure strategy within a high performing SQL team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day to day administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of enterprise SQL Server environments, ensuring 24/7 availability.
• Lead infrastructure planning, including capacity management, backup/recovery strategy, and high availability solutions.
• Implement performance improvements across SQL databases, leveraging tools and techniques for optimisation, security, and scalability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, ensuring compliance with SOX audit requirements.
• Advise senior stakeholders on database solutions and contribute to enterprise-level design and implementation.
• Support production and lower environments, ensuring stability, resilience, and business continuity.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior SQL DBA in enterprise scale environments.
• Expertise in SQL Server installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On Availability Groups, clustering, log shipping, mirroring).
• Solid understanding of capacity planning, system design, and performance monitoring tools.
• Experience supporting High Availability Groups.
• Experience with SQL Replication.
• Knowledge of DPA for performance monitoring and optimisation.
• Experience with SolarWinds for database and server monitoring.
• Familiarity with SQL Century for database management.
