Technical Business Analyst
Location: Leeds and Leicester (1 day per week on-site)
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum plus benefits
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:
We're seeking a skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our growing technology team. You'll play a pivotal role in translating business needs into robust technical solutions, ensuring alignment between stakeholders, architects, and development teams throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical and communication skills with a solid understanding of software design, systems architecture, and Agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document detailed business and technical requirements.
  • Work closely with solution architects and developers to contribute to solution design and ensure alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
  • Produce clear and comprehensive design and requirement documentation, including data models, process flows, and interface specifications.
  • Act as the liaison between business users and development teams to ensure effective communication and shared understanding of requirements.
  • Support all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from discovery and design through to testing and delivery.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and acceptance activities to ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, with strong exposure to solution design or systems architecture.
  • Deep understanding of software development processes and methodologies
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality design and requirements documentation.
  • Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams across business and IT.
  • Knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, and data modelling.
  • Familiarity with financial services systems, particularly within the mortgage and insurance domains (desirable).
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
