We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to lead the technical strategy and execution of cutting-edge compute platforms, sensor integration, and actuator systems for next-generation autonomous vehicles. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for autonomous vehicle compute and control systems.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and high-performance software solutions.
- Establish best practices for architecture, software integration, and system optimization.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership across engineering teams.
- Conduct critical design and code reviews, ensuring software meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges related to system performance and reliability.
- Stay at the forefront of technological advancements to enhance system capabilities and efficiency.
- Collaborate with product managers to align solutions with business priorities and industry needs.
- Travel up to 25% to support global engineering teams and project deployments.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Software, or Robotics Engineering).
- 15+ years of experience in engineering, with expertise in software/hardware integration.
- Strong programming skills, preferably in C++.
- In-depth knowledge of real-time systems, networking, Linux, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with software verification, validation, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with agile development tools such as GITHUB and JIRA.
