We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to lead the technical strategy and execution of cutting-edge compute platforms, sensor integration, and actuator systems for next-generation autonomous vehicles. Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the technical roadmap for autonomous vehicle compute and control systems.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and high-performance software solutions.
  • Establish best practices for architecture, software integration, and system optimization.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership across engineering teams.
  • Conduct critical design and code reviews, ensuring software meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges related to system performance and reliability.
  • Stay at the forefront of technological advancements to enhance system capabilities and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product managers to align solutions with business priorities and industry needs.
  • Travel up to 25% to support global engineering teams and project deployments.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Software, or Robotics Engineering).
  • 15+ years of experience in engineering, with expertise in software/hardware integration.
  • Strong programming skills, preferably in C++.
  • In-depth knowledge of real-time systems, networking, Linux, and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with software verification, validation, and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with agile development tools such as GITHUB and JIRA.
